Watercolor vacation (November)

After the election was over in November, we needed some time to hang out together as a family and catch up! We decided to rent a house in one of our favorite places, Watercolor. It's a pre-planned community about 30 minutes outside of Destin, Florida on the Gulf of Mexico. The beaches are beautiful and the community is full of beautiful architecture, trails, activities, restaurants, etc. We went for 3 nights and rented to house below. There were 3 bedrooms, a fireplace, porch swing, hammock, and everything you could need to have a comfortable stay. It was great! Andy's birthday was the last day that we were there. Here he is opening his CD that Drew gave him.

Mommy and the boys on a walk. It wasn't that late, but it got dark early, because we just had the time change, and they are an hour behind us.

Mommy and Drew playing football at the park.

We were racing, but it wasn't very fair. Drew would line up ahead of me, and he always started on SET, instead of GO. He is a 2 year old, but still, I'm very competitive. :)

Drew on our front porch Andy and Drew were playing a game trying to jump over the water as it came in to the shore.
Mommy and Knox in a lounge chair. While Daddy and Drew went on an adventure. Knox cuddled up on my chest and took a nap.

Andy and Drew were heading out on a scavenger hunt.

They're back....with 3 broken shells. The beaches are so white and clean there aren't many treasures to find.

out to eat (again) Drew was given crayons and was able to draw on the paper table cloth.

Here's a picture of Drew and Knox after their first experience with cereal.

cereal anyone?

I began Knox on some rice cereal last week. He's not getting it everyday, but it seemed like he was beginning to get hungry for something a little more. In a few weeks, when he turns 6 months old, I look forward to trying some fruits and veggies. Here's our first experience with our cereal. I like to feed my babies as naked as possible. Easier clean-up...

Trying to get to his bowl.

Can you see all of his rolls??

last gymnastics class with Coach Teresa

Drew ended his gymnastics classes last week. He had a great time each week, and we're even though we'll be cutting back on some of our weekly activities (for Knox to get his naps in), we'll definitely be doing gymnastics again. Drew looked forward to it each time, and he loved his Coach. I hope next time we'll get a coach just as loving as Teresa was.

Santa Claus

We went and visited Santa with our play group this week. The other kids were a little hesitant to sit on his lap, so they wanted Drew to go first. He walked right up to Santa and got on his lap. The first picture they took was great and I bought it. When it was printed we saw my head was on the bottom. (that's not this picture. this is one i took). Anyway, everyone else had already started to we had to wait until they were finished in order to try again. We took 7-8 new pictures, and none of them were as good, so I took the one with my head in it. I'm sure we'll be able to laugh about it in the future. :) Drew telling Santa what he wants for Christmas.

Festival of Lights

I know that it's been a while since I have posted anything, so I thought instead of trying to catch up everything at once, I'll start with the most recent activities first. This past weekend we headed downtown for the annual Festival of Lights (Tallahassee's Christmas celebration). We just wanted to stay long enough for the lighting ceremony. They string tons of lights through all of the trees on the chain of parks (which a main area of downtown). I didn't get any pictures of the lights, (oops), so use your imagine. They were beautiful! (I think....I was just watching Drew's reaction to the lights, and then high-tailing it back to the car to get Knox home for bed). This first picture is when the lights came on... Drew watching a band perform. Can you tell by Andy's face that he's missing his Gators play football? What a great husband! He missed the game to have some family time. He was recording it of course, and once I stepped into a place that had the game on the get a score update for him.

Drew in a firetruck. When I have time I need to post pictures of Drew visiting a fire station last month. He loved it!

Palmer family with gingerbread men. I never ask someone to take a picture of us, so it's rare to have a family picture, but a lady offered. Wasn't that nice?!!
